Seriously, is it that hard to earn?
Make a budget for each battle.
x1 vehicle (~30k each) x5 cheap dropsuits (~3k each) x2 intermediate dropsuits (~15k each)
You will have fun and still make a boatload of ISK.
Occasionally splurge on something sweet.

I can do some massive damage with a pair of militia scrambler pistols and a Militia Minmitar Light Frame for about 3k.
If you use BPO wisely, then you can add a rail rifle to just about any frontline build and turn it into a killing machine for about 2k.
The possibilities are endless.

This game is too boring to spawn on the ground anymore.
Fly or die, or fly and die, that's the rule I live by.
Besides, once I run out of ISK (down to 13 mil from 30 since 1.7), I can finally set down this game for a while. Take your budget and shove it, I spent almost two years doing that crap and I am more than set.
I love the abrasive "**** your face". Got a good laugh out of that
I regularly take out at least one Gorgon (No shield hardener) and it often survives the round. Are you using buildings and terrain for cover?

I have been known to give 1 million ISK to people who kindly respond to my posts and provide sound insight into the game and ideas for enhancements.

calisk galern wrote:the sad part about cheap suits in dust is that you ignore the strongest points of dust, you lose the risk factor.
risk vs reward should be dusts selling point, unfortunately ccp has not been increasing the reward parts nearly as much as the risk.
theirs no way to try and win a match and break even anymore.
Simply spawning is 100% risky. Doing Anything in this game is 100% risky. If I couldn't play with disposable suits, then the game would be too frustrating.

I can get a lot done with a 27k Gorgon, like sniper squashing, for instance.

that frustration and meaning is it's strong point.
sure you can get pissed when you die, but it feels great to escape by the skin of your teeth, and bring down 4 proto's and cost them 200k each.
when you run cheap suits you lose that meaning, theirs no suspence, no tension, ultimately dust becomes nothing more then a poor mans COD then.
I notice it every time I run cheap suits, I die and it's just...meh respawn.
So, would you prefer to just remove the whole cloning technology from the game? 1 life, 1 chance?
I still experience anxiety just trying to walk around the map without getting snagged by every dagdone uneven surface.
I experience tension in an 11k suit, when I'm surrounded by red dots and squares and I know that my escape is all on me.
My emotional attachment to the game is circumstantial, not about how much ISK I stand to lose.
Getting into the role is fun for me. ISK is only a vehicle by which I can customize my experience.
